Annie & Michael
We've been together for a while and decided to recap each year below - feel free to take a trip down Annie & Michael Lane, at your leisure.
YEAR ONEWe met during our first year at NYU. Pretty early on, too. It was a crisp November night at a party in Michael's room in Goddard Residence Hall (such a rebel). We may or may not have told our parents a PC cute meeting story that involved us innocently playing Scattergories (such nerds). That Thanksgiving weekend, we told our parents that we were seeing someone and then the rest is history. We officially started dating on December 6, 2009 (may not be 100% accurate though as that's the date we chose when we decided that we should probably have an anniversary).
YEAR TWODuring sophomore year at NYU, we broke up for a month to "find ourselves" - dark times. We figured it out though and stayed together through studying away that spring. Annie went to Florence (ciao!) and Michael went to Berlin (prost!). They both got to see the world and Annie even came to visit!
YEAR THREEIn between junior and senior year, Annie flew to Minnesota and met the Weisners. We had the best tour guide, Murphy (pictured) who showed them all of his favorite places!
YEAR FOURWe graduated from NYU and moved in with Annie's parents on Long Island. Annie started working in admissions at NYU and Michael started working at Columbia University. The most important milestone, of course, was this year marked the first trip we took to Walt Disney World together!

YEAR FIVEWe moved to Astoria and have been there ever since. We enjoy trying every cuisine imaginable, taking walks in Astoria Park, and sampling Astoria's amazing beer selection. We also finally realized our true artistic calling: obscure cartoon Halloween costumes.
YEAR SIXWe got to see Russia from our house! Well, not really, but we were lucky enough to see it on a trip! We have been so lucky to be able to travel and experience the world together. In total, we have been to 14 countries - Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Croatia, Greece, England, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Ireland, and Canada. Harlem may have its own Globetrotters, but we might qualify as Astoria's.
YEAR SEVENSomehow we managed to get both of our families to agree to go on a vacation together! We had a magical time together and hope for many more family vacations in the future!
YEAR EIGHTWith a little help from the whole family, we finally got engaged during the most naturally romantic holiday of the year, Thanksgiving. Nothing says I love you like turkey, cranberries, and stuffing. We have loved every minute of our engagement together, but we're so excited to finally get to celebrate with you!
